K-12 educators in Wyndmere have been working hard for the past two years to review the new North Dakota ELA and math standards as well as to refamiliarize themselves with additional content area standards. They have prioritized standards, mapped instructional units, and designed instructionally sound lessons that ensure all learners in their system become proficient with essential vocabulary, skills, and processes. Led by administrators, Mikal Kern and Scott Strenge, educators have worked closely with colleagues and built out units of instruction tightly aligned to the state standards. Additionally, they have worked tirelessly to align curricular resources to the standards and review assessment practices to ensure that all learners have the opportunity to show their proficiency. Check out a few of their teachers, Erika Illies, Jordyn Bell, and Stacey Strenge, and their K-12 learners featured in the latest NDSBL video.
