Why the Dashboard Matters

North Dakota high schools are tasked with preparing students to graduate “Choice Ready”—ready for post-secondary education, the workforce, or the military. Tracking and managing Choice Ready data, however, can be complex and time-consuming, demanding expertise and staff resources.

The SEEC Choice Ready Dashboard helps schools streamlines the data management process, freeing up time and resources so educators can focus on supporting students’ success.

How the Dashboard Benefits Schools, Students, and Families

The SEEC Choice Ready Dashboard provides a centralized, automated, and user-friendly system for tracking student progress toward Choice Ready indicators. Designed for school staff, students, and families, it provides real-time monitoring that enhances transparency and supports collaborative decision-making.

History of the Project

Launched in 2022, the dashboard was developed by seven North Dakota school districts (12 high schools), Leidholm Technologies, EduCal, and NDIT/SLDS staff in partnership with SEEC. Inspired by Fargo Public Schools’ original Choice Ready dashboard, the team built a scalable module within EduCal to consolidate Choice Ready data from multiple sources, with support for setup, onboarding, training, and reporting.

In Fall 2024, the project expanded by an additional 31 high schools (25 districts) through a grant opportunity funding through the ND Legislature.
